Mayfield Kentucky Update #1 (Jan 5th)
As most of you know Pastor Tom & Sherry are in Kentucky currently on vacation. They have been given the opportunity to observe and help with the tornado destruction in Mayfield KY. They signed up to help with “8 Days of Hope” and “Hardin Baptist Church”. In Toms words, “I’ve never seen anything like this, the destruction, it looks like a bomb went off”. Tonight it’s supposed to get down to 10 degrees and the gas for heat has yet to be restored in many areas.
With the direction of the Board and Elders, Compaasion Source (LCC Food Bank) is helping meet some of the needs there. They were able to purchase
Heaters
Blankets
Pillows
Sleeping Bags & Mats
Shovels
Work Gloves
(and some special things for the kiddos)

Mayfield Kentucky Update #2 (Jan 5th)
Dave, A retired police officer from the Mayfield Church of Christ, said “in all his years of disaster relief of tornadoes he’s never seen anything like this”. They gave us a list of the most important needs and Compassion Source was able to meet all of them.
With wood stoves and small space heaters running, smoke detectors are a great need along with laundry soap and drink mixes for the bottled waters.

Mayfield Kentucky Update #3 (Jan 6th)
Heaters were delivered just in time!!
The best part of all the deliveries (beyond the practical ones) we’re seeing the smiles staff faces and smiles on the kids faces that the staff saw as they received candy bars 😁😁
Thank you from Kentucky!!!
