“Let us rise up and build”
Nehemiah being sent with favor by the king he served came to Jerusalem and saw first hand the great need, he saw the city in disrepair. Then Nehemiah came to the people and shared with the people of God how Gods good hand had been upon him, He shared with the people the great need he personally witnessed and they responded to Nehemiah by saying
“Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work
Nehemiah being sent with favor by the king he served came to Jerusalem, and observed first hand the great need, he saw the city in disrepair. Then Nehemiah came to the people of God and shared with them of how God’s good hand had been upon him. Nehemiah shared the great need he personally witnessed, and they responded to him by saying, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work, and as we know the rest is history, “His-story” the story of God’s faithfulness to them as they rose up and began building, there were obstacles on their journey to build but each obstacle was an opportunity to see, ‘God’s good hand on them.’
As many of you know we started our 12th year as a church last January, and it has been a blessing. We have seen God’s good hand on us as he has blessed His church. Roughly eight years ago we were able to obtain financing to purchase our property at 3980 Santiam Highway. In those eight years we have improved the property so we could have outdoor services during the summer, what great blessings we have enjoyed, God’s good hand has indeed been upon us.
As you know we are currently meeting at Seven Oaks Middle School for our two Sunday morning services, it’s been a wonderful place to meet, but…. a lot of work every Sunday.
The Elders, Board, and I believe it’s time to rise up and build a home for the Lord’s people. We believe God’s good hand will be upon us as we rise up to build that home. A home not just for our Sunday morning services but also for our men’s and women’s ministries to meet in town, a facility for our kids from preschool to high school to meet in, a place for conferences and concerts, ultimately a home for the Gospel to go forth throughout our community and further.
In order to obtain financing for our new building project on our 3980 Santiam Hwy property, we need to raise $350,000 for the down payment on the new construction.
If you would like to give beyond your regular tithes and offerings to the Building Fund please write on the memo section of your check, Building Fund. If you’re giving online please select the Building Fund on the menu bar.
Let us rise up to build and put our hands to this good work! May “His – story” be our history, as we see God’s good hand upon us and give Him the glory for the great things He has done, is doing, and will do.
